Let's Get Acquainted
This blog came out of my experiences as a woman in engineering, a minority in my community, a love of food, friendships, fashion, traveling and cultures, and the ability to embrace it all. I currently live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband, and two dogs, Waffles and Mackenzie.
I've spent my entire life trying to break stereotypes, and I'd love to share my stories and inspire people to be themselves and go after their passions and dreams. I have a Masters in Chemical Engineering, I've worked in manufacturing plants, lived in rural towns, but never strayed far from being myself- a girly girl with an innate desire to empower women by creating beautiful outfits, styles, and incorporating everyday luxury.
My mom started getting my sister and me a Vogue subscription by the time I was 7-8 years old so I've always dreamed of someday being as fearless and fierce as those models on each page. I began to love all things make up, designer clothing, shoes, and handbags from a very young age, so I'm so excited to share my collection with all of you and share my tips and tricks on maintenance, when/where to buy, promotional deals, reviews on iconic staples, where to buy trusted, authentic pre-loved pieces, sizing guides, and so much more.
I also love to travel and think of ourselves as global citizens - we can't love one another without understanding one another first! I love to learn about different cultures and how they express themselves through food, fashion, traditions, and through society.
Between my sister and I, we have worked with the same stylist from Neiman Marcus for 20+ years (she helped buy our first Louis Vuittons as teenagers when NM still sold LV!), Nordstrom, Saks, and Louis Vuitton for the larger part of a decade so we get the inside scoop on the newest collections, price drops and increases, and the latest trends. I'd love to share their insight with all of you as well! We've also traveled the globe from Europe to Asia and everything in between so I'd love to share my travel trips and the best places to shop and eat!
